You don't have an air fuel guage hooked up do you?

Do you have the intake manifold heater hooked up?

You might want to double check for vacuum leaks...

Check the plugs and make sure they aren't fouling

    What is your idle RPM?

    Are you 5-Speed or Automatic?

You can lower the idle, and idle mixture... that should help.
There is a screw at the base of the carb that adjust the mixture... turn it in to lean out the fuel.

tune your idle mixture like the instruction shows, then turn the idle down to 750-800 RPM's... my car idles fine at 300 RPM in the warm and 600-700 in the cold weather

the intake manifold heater is the 2 coolant lines that run to the intake manifold.

Me? I have horrible milage... I have a race camshaft, rich jets on the weber, and a whole mees of other performance parts... the only reason I get any good milage is I haven't upgraded my fuel pump from the stock one so I'm still pumping out meager amounts of fuel.

A/F guage are pricey... pulling out and inspecting the spark plugs is a cheaper way of determining fuel mix... usually.
