    Door Handle

Because of the quick cold we had in montreal yesterday. My door handle on the drivers side is broken and i can't open the door.
Anyway my question is, can i pull just the handle from the passenger side and put it on the drivers side? i'm not looking to swap the lock or the whole frame for the door handle. Just the part that moves up and down. The handle

    Thanks in advance.

my drivers side door doesnt open from the outside either. the metal part that moves down or up when you pull the handle broke into 2. i don't think you could use the passanger side, wouldn't it be mirrored or backwords? maybe you could use the back door handle... but then again why would you want to do that? you'll have to get it fixed eventually.

well i'm the only person that uses the car. and i rarley have any passengers in it so it wouldn't be a big problem.

i think it's possible but i'm not 100% sure. thats why i need confirmation. and i don't have a 4 door. so i can't grab the one in the back.

I dont think it would work. The latch mechnism is connected to the lock.
The locks are on opposite sides.

Yeah the drivers side has broken on both of my 3g's, the passenger side won't work but you could use the back rear drivers door or just get a new handle.

No, it won't work. The portion of the door latch inside of the door with the metal arm which connects to the door handle and open it is not ambidextrous. You would have to weld an extension of some type to reach the other side of the handle if you try swapping. The only thing that will mount are the bolts.

You could, that is if you have a remote door unlock installed.
