    auto and manual console same??

    ok i was thinking of making a whole new center console with and armrest and all and have it extend up to where the cig lighter is. but i was wondering if the size of the opening for the auto shifter is the same as the manual shifter. im swapping in a 5-speed this summer cuz my tranny's goin. if anybody could help me out, it'll be great.

    its the same, with the exception of the 5 speed shifter boot. The hole is the same.
    I have a 5 speed with the console off an LXi auto
