    quick advice on brakes please? . . . . . . . . . . .. .. . . .

okay my brake's are worn again?!
okay so now's my oportunity to upgrade to lx-i brakes.
so to up grade i know i need the
    lx-i caliper's
    lx-i brake pads
    lx-i rotor's

but do i need the bolt's that hold the caliper's in place or can i use the same from the lx????
and can i use the same screw that hold the rotor's in place or do i have to use a different one????
    thanx!!!!!

you also need the knuckles from the LXi since they're bigger then the LX brakes. Mario found that out the hard way.

You need the knuckles because the rotors are larger and the calipers are mounted differantly.
Oh and if you still have your stock 13's you need to get larger rims so the calipers don't rub on the inside of the Rim.

well, if the new brake setup is gonna be larger than ur current one, wouldn't it be better to get slotted rotors instead of lx-i ones? unless there aren't any aftermarket ones yet.
no offence intended, i'm just wondering cuz i'm thinking about doing the same thing.

while we are on the subjuct, what would an 86lxi need to upgrade to the 88-89 lxi setup?

just give a list of stock parts that need to be collected. i can sort thru and figure out what i want to be aftermarket or not.
