    weird squeel comming from somewhere

i was just out driving and i hear this high pitch squeeling coming from the under of the car...its weird tho because it persists as i step on the gas and when i release the clutch (not as bad)...but when i press the brake the sound dies and everything is good...then i press the gass and it happens all over again...can anyone tell me what could possibly be the problem?

Possibly the speedo cable, where it connects to the transmission... or a loose drive belt for the A/C Water pump.

    How are your fluid levels?

Check your alternator/water pump, AC and PS belts for wear and tightness.

does the squeel gets louder when you go faster?
if it is speed related it is your wheel bearings.

might be the flange on your brakes. i've had that problem before and it goes away sometimes when you step on the brakes.

what kind of squeel is it? metal on metal? rubber?

its liek a metal on metal squeel....couple nights ago i busted a 80 mph drift and my oil light was blinking forawhile till i had the time to turn it off and back on the light was gone...while it was off i checked the oil and it was up to level and there was no burn smell...it might be the wheel berings cause it while im driving starting at about 30-45mph. it does get louder as i hit about 60-75mph. any higher it goes away.

i thought it was te breaks too but the sound is non existant when i press the brake pedal all the way till i stop...

btw my wheels are pretty old and i think thats what imma have to invest in next....=\.

is it dangerous to drive if theres that sound....?

yes, sometimes, the wheel bearing can lock up and you end up in the ditch.
