Help for a badly beaten DX

HI, I just bought an 88 DX and this poor car has been beaten up pretty bad. I started off by replacing a clutch and the front struts and springs. The car has 230k on the clock and still runs well. I just went to replace a headlight that blew out on me and found it to be held in by zip strips and wire because the adjuster bracket is so badly rusted that it's falling apart. I went to a junkyard and they told me that I could go pull the part and then just as I was getting it out someone came back and told me that I couldn't buy just that part. They said that I could only have the part if I bought the whold headlight assembly! Does anyone know where I can find a replacement? I'm goin nuts because I can't even replace the bulb.

That sounds like BS I would try another yard.
