Modifying fuel output TW sensor /injector pulse

Reseraching a little project that I'm thinkin of trying out E-85 and stumbled accros this site pretty imformative smart guy here with a SC miata. He made this little thing to show injector pulse pretty cool.

    Modifying the Temp sensor

pretty informative chart and some info on the Moss/JRSC fuel setup. I haven't read it all yet.

damn, that's really clever. i bet it sounds pretty funny too.

...do you know if our ecu still uses the coolant temp sensor at WOT?

I think at WOT it reverts to a "full dump" curcuit like most FI cars. Ever been behind a Ford and the guy goes to WOT its easy to spot the exhaust goes sooty.

Check this out a way to vary spark(retard timing) off the crank angle sensors voltage/resistance.. That might work on our cars too.

so it modifies the output of the crank angle sensor to the ecu? i see it also uses an airflow sensor on the miata. hmmm. probably couldn't use a map sensor with it. i forget how the math works with that and the TPS and pgmfi.org's wiki is down... wonder if inputing the TDC signal from our dizzy and having the output relayed to the ignitor ground would work? wait, no it wouldn't, half as many pulses right? i should get some sleep.

Science and exploration and cars.. ahhhhhh
    Good link(s)

E-85 also has the potential to become corrosive as well as not playing well with other elements that would be in a non flex fuel vehicle, for example injector internals, seals, etc.. This is somewhat mythical to a degree but still holds truth. Drivers in the ECM for the injectors have a hard time sustaining as soon as alcohol comes into the picture, it causes resistance of some sort and will take out a controler.
Hacking an interface to the oem electronics to accomplish active fuel management and drivability will become a trend if and when, I would guess. Sure glad somebody besides top secret USDM engineers in area 51 has our back $$

Hers where I got most of the links.

Im not really worried about the Honda its old anyway.

Looking at getting a wideband pretty soon after a few more rounds with the dentist

Says it does injector pulses ?

got some new RC injectors ready to go. Got a dyno jet scoped out accross town for testing.

bought a laptop at the beginning of the year so I can data log.

there one place in town selling E-85 atm just start last month.

    himm what else......

I think it would have to use the ignitor signal ?? maybe just be delaying it a split second before it lights the coil off is my way of looking at it. I think thats how MSD does it anyway.

As far as I understand the Miata uses a flap in the air flow actually like a flow meter. I kinda wonder why he doesnt use the TPS.

Im also wondering how our injectors pulse. I think the sink to ground, goto ground ,like the Miatas do.

The LC-1 is cool and makes tuning SOOOO much easier. But I would say get the LMA-3 instead of the SSI-4. The LMA-3 has a 2 axis accelerometer built in so you can measure HP and torque at the wheels under actual driving conditions. No need for a dyno anymore.

I wonder if this would work on our ECU ?

worthless on a PJO imo. You need to go obd1 to enjoy real time tuning/datalogging
