    Talking Can You Guess What These Are For?

    Yeup. Finally found 2 of the same kind. Anyone know what I'll be doing w/ these soon? I can't wait to get started...

    i would say hood props.. i have two that are off my hatch.. they were too weak to hold the hatch, but might do the trick for the hood!! i never thought of it!!

    Yeup. Hood Compression Prop Conversion. I've posted on this before a while back, and just now recived the gas shocks. Now just some minor drilling and the right joint bolts, and I'm good. Now I'm not sure on the compression rate of the shocks though, so I don't know if they'll lift the hood on their own or just hold it up...I guess I'll have to wait and see.

    That's got to be the cleanest living DX I've ever seen.

    i think they should our hoods arent so heavy practically a feather compared to some other cars..

    I got a new audi A6 hood prop but its to strong and ripped the ball end right out of the hood. Im going to try to find some lower pressure ones so i can do mine. I was going to weld a plate on the hood but i still think its to much.

    That's a great idea. I nver thought of that. Both 3g's I've owned had the bottom pary of the hodd prop pop out of the hole. I just keep mine in the trunk to keep it from rattling around in the engine bay.
