    Break line Q

My front-driver-side break line hose burst at the worst place, driving downhill! It was actually fractured at where a metal bracket was crimped to hose..
Went to H-dealer and bought a replacement hose, btw that's quite a piece of hose with 3..4 metal nipples, brackets and connectors. Now i'm trying to disconnect the old one at the hose - pipe connector (not at caliper), obviously it doesn't budge. I'm not even sure which nut should be turned.. Haynes show sort of a pic where u supposed to use two wrenches, one on the end connector of the hose, the other on a nut on hard line. My Q, which one should be turned? I'm afraid of braking the hard line.

    Thanks guys.

Start by keeping the hard line still and twisting the hose side. That way you can test it but not worry about breaking the hard line.

    edit: post #1,000

2nd edit: the fire alarm is going off and there are cops and fire trucks arriving with blaring sirens as I type.
