Hey check out my custom front benches... Pics inside on 2nd page.

Well today I was out in the Ol'Accord and besides it sitting there waiting for my new carb and fuel pump, I got to thinking what I could do to it. So i removed the two front seats. Then i removed the rear seat and found a family of roaches living underneath...

Anyways after i checked to make sure the seat was safe again I pulled out the fold down center and layed it over the E-Brake so that the base of the back seat top was facing forward and the head of the seat was at the back. It fits perfectly... and nicely adjusted for my height if I were to sit on it. only problem is no back? hmm well I looked and the seat of the rear seat and decided that won't be my back so now I'm considering removing the top half of the front seats and fitting them up some how... but this ruins my original plan to have the bench up front and who knows what I was gonna do to the rear... right now i can imagine if my interior was still good and the seat apolstery was good... how nice it would look without the seat backs on the front seat... maybe i sould make the back floating.. so that the seat will be high enough to act as a head rest without needing a head rest... I have some extra metal laying around... I can easily weld some brackets up to put things where they are going just temporarily to get the idea... maybe hide some neons in the space between the top and bottom of the seat... lots of ideas... tones... heaps... oh my, oh my and luving it.

    Bench or not to bench...

What about tossing the bench seat and replacing it with two or three buckets and leaving the front buckets where they are?

Is it just my imagination or does Kalimari kinda look like deep fried assholes?

    Or...

Yank out all the seats and put one iin the center, then you could modify the rest of the car around it...move the steering wheel to the center...

I'm going from all motor to all pimp... J/K

Well someone here tried... or was trying to do that... besides I don't worry about the passengers... I'm probably going to reserve that space for some electrical gizmoes... just fill in the seat-well and flatten out the rear. I actually wanted to weld the rear doors shut and shave the rear.

I guess somebody decided to get a jump on April Fool's Day...either that or someone is mildly obsessed with bunnies.

in my friends early 90's jeep wrangler we had plans to turn the back seats around like the oldschool station wagons, we even had a way to mount the seatbelts, but alas (whoa!! I sound sofistimacated!!!) winter came and we never got a chance to try this mod.

Rumble seat, that would rule. Old school hotrods have them. The trunk folds back to expose another seat.
I don't know how the hell it would work out on a Honda.

My question is if you do a front bench what the hell would you do for the e-brake and shifter?

it all fits... The brake tucks nicely away inbetween the cushions... the shifter doesn't hit the front of the seat... only trouble is making up a new shifter case... I may just throw a cheap chrome plate with a slit on it and a rubber boot... make it look like a manual trans. I can shorten the shifter down to nothing too... and I'll just pop on a chrome shift knob. I'll be removing the safety lock though... but I'll try and at least have something to keep it from sliding accidentaly into reverse.

What what, am I reading correctly? You have an auto? With all those crazy ass modifications I just assumed it was a real tranny.

Yeah it was plannned, i needed a new clutch and some small tid bits for the axle... I ended up tossing the tranny though, I'll see if my other one is good, if i still have it. Other wise I'm going to thrw away the rest of the 5-speed parts I collected and clean out my shed.
