Did you lube the inside with moly grease before you installed it?

BTW, my crank seals are leaking... so I'll be doing that job probably this weekend.

to know if they are leaking or not remove the timing belt cover ( the upper one ) , run the car till the fan comes on and ask spmeone to press the gas to 4000 rpm several times !
look at the cam while the car is running , any leaks ??

hey sabz !! are you sure about the lubing thing !!??? and what about that moly grease ??? a special grease ?? or high temp !????

guys HEEEEEEEELp ! SHE IS STILL LEAKING AFTER THE NEW SEAL !!!!!!!

You need to lube the cam and inner lip of the seal with moly before you install it. You can pick up moly engine lube at any parts store rather cheap.

Why is the moly needed? Rubber + Friction = Breakdown. Eventually the engine oil will take over for the moly, but right of the bat, it's required.
