Bad mileage

Ok, I posted this on the backup forum, but since i cannot get to that, i will post it again here. Basically my car was parked for the winter, started once a day and let idle for 5-10 min. Before the winter, i would get 450-600 km a tank, depending on the driving. Now i am getting about 300-400 a tank, and this is with me taking it VERY easy on the car. It has recently had: plugs @ .47, accel coil, crane wires, pcv, oil, air filter, and i have run some injector cleaner through it. It seems to run really good (except for a idle problem at start sometimes) but it just seems to eat through gas. It also seems to be getting worse. Any help or opinions would be great! Thanks

i had a bad problem with gas milage too.. i have done some work to my car too... i have an 89 lx and i checked my car for leaks .. once in a while i smelled gas... i checked the gas pump the i chekced the fuel filter i had bad hoses that were on the fuel filter.. you might check that ... i also got this additive from my local auto parts store and it was to clean and help the fix small leaks and better your millage... you can try that... thats what i did....

have you changed your fuel filter?
change the fuel filter in the bank and the one under the hood.
the other thing you can do is remove the idle screw. on the top of the TB.it is the brass screw.
remove it and spray some carb cleaner in there. let it sit. clean the screw. put it back and unjust the idle.
if that doesn't help. i don't know what will.

Well, I have a new fuel filter assembly (dont ask) and the fuel filter was replaced last summer, so i dont think that is the problem. I am wondering if i have a leaky pump or something, cause i can go for a 20 km drive and literaly watch my gas go down. Also, doesnt efi only have one fliter? I'll also try the cleaner in the tb and see if that helps.

Yes, EFI has only one large filter under the hood. It may be an O2 sensor(s) going bad. Generally, these sensors will give inaccurate readings as they age, which may affect gas mileage, engine operation, etc., but the ECU will not give you any errors. Also, check your air intake sensors since they may have carbon deposits which cause them to give inacurate readings to the ECU. Clean your throttle body with some throttle body cleaner to remove the carbon deposits.
