Every once in awhile, when I crank the wheel all the way to the right a loud high pitched squeel can be heard coming from the drivers side, so I think maybe it is the pwoer steering belt, but I put a new one on maybe 5 months ago, or could it be the pump¿

it could be low on fluid. if that the case you can top it off, but only use honda approved fluid. i found out the hard way that using regular power steering fluid is indeed going to mess up the system. it could need replacing somewhere in there, maybe the ps pump or rack and pinion part. but i'd first see if its low on fluid.
Keep it HONDA. Or at least Asian.™
