    Unbalanced Rotor?

ok, my 3gee has had a little vibration in the left front side like for ever. the wheels are properly balanced and theres no loose parts, suspension is good condition. well, i think like i had thought the rotor has something to do with it. i'd thought it may be warped which it still may be. but i think its some how unbalanced because of age and ware. as soon as i get some money together, i was already planning to get new rotors. so i guess i'll see if thats it. anyone ever heard of an unbalanced rotor being the cause of vibration, because its possible. i wonder if anyone else has this problem. its noticeable at high speeds.

I don't know if thats your problem. Im gonna say its a ball joint. I know for an absolute fact that my passenger side rotor is warped and I can only feel it when braking. My car is soo incrediabily smoothe at 80 its allmost surreal. I got new rotors and pads, but damnit I can't get those damn screws out. What you are describing sounds like what Ghettoaccord just got fixed, upper ball joints.

if your ride is smooth and it shakes only when you push the brakes, it is your rotors. they are warped.
if you ride is shaking all the time, check next things, upper ball joints, tie rods, lower ball joints and wheel bearings. all those things can cause some king of shaking if they are not worn out.

ok, then its probley the rotors for sure. like at a high speed i'll step on the brake and it will vibrate pretty bad. also after the rotors and are hot they will vibrate some and eventually stop. otherwise yeah its fairly smooth, but i cant tell on these bumpy ass roads
