    Intake Maniold Brackets

    on a carbed a20a1 how the hell do you get the intake manifold off of the brackets underneath it. I guess its screwed or bolted on but i dont feel and bolts or screws but im sure it attached somehow. any help would b appreictaed.

    they are screwed.
    you will have to get under the car and see for yourself.

    You have to get underneath the car and remove them. I think it was 2 12mm bolts and I used a 20" extension to reach it easier. I also had the car up on jack stands. If you have any questions about this just ask me b/c I just got done install my custom intake manifold.

    I'm not sure how tight it is with all the stock components in but I remove the bolts from the top... I just reach under from the rear of the manifold with the 12 and loosen it enough to get in there with my fingers and do the rest.

    that's helpful to know. im sure i would have figured that out when it comes time to take off the intake manifold.

    I did the whole EFI conversion without getting under the car at all (except for the rear fuel line)

    So you can get it out from the top... it's hard to do but not impossible.
