are the fronts from an '89 diff. from an '87
Yeah, the front brakes on 86-87 models are smaller than those from 88-89. I don't know what plans you have for your car in terms of autocross or anything, but your best bet is probably just a nice set of pads. If it's just a daily driver/ fun car on the weekends, you really don't need slotted/cross drilled rotors IMO.

i've got the susp. just about done,i plan on using this car as a daily driver, but want some hp and handling incase anyone gets a little cocky![]()
Honestly, I think a good set of pads on your car and a good working brake system and you should be fine. You won't heat up the brakes enough to need superspendy rotors. At best, you may want to upgrade your brake fluid.
