trunk lid tail lights

hey, i need to replace the running light on the trunk lid. when i hit the brake it lights up but not when it's just running. i can't figure out how to get to the bulbs so i can replace them. the grey box that they are in is pretty much broken off. the numbnut before me just duct taped it up and my stupid butt didn't check when i bought it. so what do you guys know for getting to the bulbs that way i know for the other side as well. thanks.

I think there are only 2 screws holding that piece in place and if it's duct taped then take the duct tape off and it should come off.
