DING DING DING! That's what it is. It's called the integrated control unit, which consists of:
    Oil pressure alarm
    Seat belt alarm
    Key alarm
    Key light timer
    Light-on warning
and side marker light flasher circuits

Probably a good idea to keep it in for a couple of those functions.

yes it is the same one. without that box, your fender turn signals won't light up at all.

hmmm has the oil light been on for a long time , 'cause i belive that if it's a few second's, then it's not gonna sound, i also belive that the "ECU" montior's the rpm's of the engine and if it's not running then it's not gonna sound but if it's running and the pressure's low then it may . . . . . .i'll let you know monday . . . . .

yeah thats a must have item guys... dont throw it away. As far as i know there is no such thing as a an oil pressure alarm on this engine, just the light in the cluster.

it must have been there for at least a few months...

Of course I'm lazy. If I wanted to work on my car I'd have gotten a DSM

I think that's the computer, not the same thing. Could be wrong though.
