    sub cracked...

hey guys i need help... I bought a sub about a month ago its a pyle(i know not the best brand) 12" square sub: http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?stk_code=pylplsq12d . Its been really hot here in los ang in the past 2 weeks and i think that the heat had some contribution to it cracking. It cracked on the cone along the circle and then the cracked branched off about an inch or two into the sub cone. What i want to know is can i fix it? I wan thinking i could use some jb weld or somthing to fix it and stop the crack. I was also thinking that since it will never look good with a bunch of jb weld(or whatever i use) all over it, i could sand it down and spray paint it some neon color and then get a little black light mounted above it so it would look crazy. dunno, what do you guys think?

use a "plastic welder" type of epoxy... that works really good... and if you ever need to repair a foam or rubber surround, use yourself some contact cement... put a little on there and push it together... don't use it like normal, just use one application and press the sides of the tear together right away... this way it is still quite flexible... when you said cracked speaker i thought right away you'd somehow busted a basket or something like that

don't use JB weld. it is for everything else by electronics.
you can get contact cement from autozone or any other autoparts stores. they are $3.99 or something like that.
but if i was you, i would start saving for another sub. even when it is all glued, it won't sound right no matter what.
since you have a subwoofer box made for square one. go with something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...094526109&rd=1
    or this
