Talking **86-89 accord indiglo gauge for automatics will be availible**

    hey 3geez member,
i was surfing the net and found a website that would make a indiglo gauge for third gen automatic accord. if i get atleast ten people to buy it then they'd start the production asap. checkout the site at S/R Motorsports.com

**This company is now taking pre orders for 86-87 auto guages and 88-89 guages. If we get 10 peeps together to commit to buy either set of guages, they will start production. The total cost of these guages INCLUDING shipping will be $57.99. I think that this is a very good deal.**

(Sorry for taking over your post.)

86-89 accord indiglo gauge for automatic!!

    here's an update from streetracerparts.com;

    Hello,
Well, we cannot start production on them until we get at least 10
    people
willing to pay $49.99. As soon as we get the 10 people we will start
production, and then 3 weeks later we should have them available for
    Distribution. Thank you!

Are they for 86-87, or 88-89 Accords? Also, are they only for automatics?

They' d either have to be for an 86-87 or 88-89 because the 86-87 gas/temp gauge had needles connects to the guage in the middle and pointing to the outer part of the gauge and the 88-89 had pointers connected on either side of the gauge with the readings going up the middle of the gauge.

I did put my name down in case this all works out though.

the cluster that they use as a model i think is from 88-89 accord automatic because the temp and fuel needle is pointing outward unlike my 87 accord where the needle pointed inward. i'm gonna try to request an indiglo gauge made for 86-87 accord if we get atleast ten people. thanks!

it doesn't matter what year your accord is. That does not determine whether the needles point outward or inward. If I remember correctly, it's where you accord was built which determines the needle direction

U.S. built accords had the needles pointing outward

Japanese built accords had the needles pointing inward.

personally, my 87 accord has the needles pointing inward and it was built in japan and shipped over here.

So before you order, no matter what year accord you have, I would advise you to find out which version they are going to be making. outward needles or inward needles? hey, maybe you guys can get them to make both versions :super:

    hondaman87,
i think the S/R Motorsports website are only making the 2 color gauge or the reverse gauge. if you want a gauge for manual, i think you have to ask S/R motorsports to put one under development if you can get ten people to buy it. or u can just get a reverse gauge for manual at procarparts.com, its more expensive but atleast you don't have to wait for it.

They couldnt be repackaged ProCarParts guages because:
    1) ProCarParts doesnt make 2 color indiglos for our cars, there's are 5 color reverse guages.
    2) ProCarParts guages are only for automatics.
    3) They are cheaper than the guages that ProCarParts sells by $15 EXCLUDING SHIPPING.

You mean PCP guages are only for standard transmissions, not automatics... otherwise why would this thread be of any importance
