how would i go about making suicide doors on my car? is it harder than putting hinges and locks on the opposite sides?

I have seen kits for like 795 or so....That's the cheap part, then all the fabricating and redoing of everything....probably 1400+. Probably a bit cheaper if you do it yourself.

795 is too high. www.suicidedoors.com sells kits for about $399

just wondering, what exactly are you wanting to do this for? show or personal satisfaction? anyway, wonder what a 3gee would look like with suicide doors on back doors of a sedan like the old '60s lincoln continentals. those front suicide doors are hard to get in and out of somewhat. personally i'd rather have "lambo" doors, that is if i was interested in doing a door conversion. thats a lot more though.

don't see any good with it, at least guillotine has a purpose, like when youre in a tight spot it opens up. suicide wont even look soo great and probably will get boring in a while. plus it'll cost alot to do. yah around 12-1400

Seen a car with those around my way, forgot what it was. Was a coupe though. Looks nice, but it's more for show. You'll get tired of it quick.

here's an idea for those who wants suicide or lambo's, go to homedepot and get dor hinges things, then go to scrap yard and find 2 door like pastic pieces and you know...shape them a bit, then remove your door, and get a big big stapler or something, staple the door hinge to where ever you want the plastic doors to attach to the chasis, then...then staple the plastic doors to the hinge and use lots of ductape for when you travel. Yeaaahhh!!!
