Thanks man! Someday I'll get pics posted up. I'll be getting a paint job soon and selling my miserable German car to fund some additional improvements. It'll be pretty sweet then. It looks bad right now, but it's a joy to drive. There's just not a newer car that can equal it.

1900$ a month ago in flawless condition. Not a single thing wrong with it, second owner 275k miles. Score!
$1800 2 summers ago. 123,000 miles at the time and no issues.
Well I pay for mine $900 with 210,354 miles new clutch, starter, carb, cv joints, axles, timing belt, p/s and a/c conversion to 134-A freon. The only things fix by me was the alternator and all the belts, radiator cap, fuel cap, exhaust pipe, resurface the brake rotors and adjust back brakes. Extras I put only are Sony Xplod Radio with iPod interface and front speakers by Pioneer. Worth every penny...

Alrighty here goes, my first car and only car i ever own was a black 1988 Honda Accord LX-I Sedan . I bought the car back in 1994 for $5000 when it was mint and beautiful like its off a showroom, 8 years old and had around 100k miles on it. I was 16 and in high school back in 1994 and just gotten my driver ID. Now in 2008, with 234k miles on it I still own it and it still runs strong although the auto tranny is shifting hard and very rough... engine smooth as ever, thats a Honda for you. Over 14 years this cars brought me a lot of joy and was well worth the money. I love this car and so did my many back seat girl friends. hehe. ah the memories!
I was in the market to buy a new Acura TSX or a TL but.... decided to make a long term investment and bought another 3rd gen accord off Ebay for only 835 plus tax. I just pick it up last week, July 25, 2008. I think i got a good deal and planning to drive this one to the ground too as a daily driver car. I might be in my late 50 by then... hehe perhaps with the money I save i might get the car of all cars a use Acura NSX. they go for $15K - 20K now a day. hmm..... best feature off all are the pop up head lights! its like our accord... only cooler.

Anyway, Now i own a blue accord with 70,695 miles. the miles are real after checking Car Fax and all record line up. I didn't think that was possible for a 20 year car. But the car Drive great, Shift and run very smooth. But it all stock and drive a little soft (think toyota, yuck). I feel like i'm 16 year old all over agian! Planing on getting new rims better tires, re Paint, and bolt on a few after market stuff to get stiffer ride. My family think i lost my freakin mind. But people who own 3rd accord know what i mean. Its a passion and a love/hate affair with our car. I'm sure most of us feel the same way.
sorry for the long post, Its been awhile since i post anything on here. but i Love this board. Lets keep on rolling our 3gen Accord!
bump
well i paid 600 for my 2g.
$7500 seven years ago.
was mint then tho
only had 130,000 km on her
had factory wheels, hub caps, stereo,no boot spoiler
was absolutely like new
paid $1100 in '07, great condition, only dings and trim fade
oem mats, cd player, eq, alloy wheels, etc
too much
i bought the car for $700 back in 01
put a $1500 Acura yellow paint job on it
2 sets of $2000 Chrome wheels
took it of the road in 03 to contend to some unibody rot problems
unibodydroped it
ran out of coin sold it late 03
got crushed by a roof cave in during a snow storm in 04
the car was done beyond fixing and was cut up with a plazma cutter
so if anyone on here is tring to sell or says they have my old 3g you know the deal
Got my first one back in '03 for $2000. Little white '87 LXi hatch with an auto. It was the car that really got me into working on cars. I ended up selling it so I could pay for my wedding 2 years later (lasted a whole year--I should never have sold it).
Just picked up a '87 DX for $650 over the weekend, and the cool thing about it is the guy I sold my LXi to parked it earlier in the year because of break problems. Going to pick that back up and do an EFI conversion in a week.
