My ISP is filtering 3geez mail

My ISP (www.integratelecom.com) has just setup a spam filtering package, but it's filtering the notification mails from 3geez. I spoke to an admin about this and they said one of the problems is the return address on these e-mails is not valid (It's a message, but not a valid address). This means I can't "whitelist" 3geez messages. Anyone else have this problem? Is there something we can do to fix it?

    Thanks,
    Gregg

a simple fix would be to get a new email address through yahoo or something. I think i have problems getting notifications for other forums. I've noticed there will be a bunch of replies to threads i've replied to but no notification that there are new replies. its kind of a pain, but not really that big of a deal to me.

If u spoke to someone from the company and he said there was nothing that can be done, I believe u are screwed. If u can access ur ISP's email account thru POP3, it should deliver even spam messages to ur inbox (which in ur case would be a good thing). If u just go to the webmail login I would guess it wouldnt be accessible. I dont know much about ur ISP but I gave it my best shot.

The messages get moved to a "quarantined" area that I can get to and release them. It's just a pain in the ass since I get about 150 spam messages a day (signed up for too many porn sights ). The admin said that all that needs to be done is a valid "format" address needs to be put in the return address form 3geez. It does not have to be a real address, just one that the software can recognize as an address. "[email protected]" would work fine. He seemed familiar with vBulletin and thought it should be easy to do. Then I can "whitelist" the address.

If worse comes to worse, I could route the 3geez mail to a hotmail account, but it's just a hassle and I'm lazy.

That's not neccisarily true, some SPAM software does the filtering severside which means they remove it before it ever reaches your hands. If you really need the spam feature either use another email for 3g's or ask them to disable it for your account and setup your own personal spam filter using somthing like Norton Internet Security.

Hotmail does it too. I think I requested my auth/activation email 3 times or so before I actually got the bright idea to check my junk mail folder for it. Oughtta just put "[email protected]" in the return address field and avoid this.
