yes, get the dynomax now, then do the piping when you can afford it. i got a pretty big power increase from just the muffler, then when i got the piping done later i didn't see that much more. also check out summitracing.com they have the dynomax for $32, all you need is a cheap tip, and a shop or friend to weld it on(actually now that im thinking about this, it will probably come out to the same price).

At the risk of repeating this to much,.....as soon as you get it installed go find a tunnel and slow down and then HIT IT, aw man it sounds so nice near redline EVIL grin

I'm planning to get a DYNOMAX Super Turbo as well. I'll have the shop do the piping. Is mandrel bent that important for us? I notice that there wasn't too many turns under the car. Maybe we can live without it.

What diameter should we look for? I don't want it so loud that it sets off car alarms or attracts cops. I'm getting too old for that stuff. Is 2 1/2 in and out good enough?

Did Accord come with dual out from the factory? Cuz it seems that the notch under the bumper has space for two outlet pipes. I'm talking about dual out from one side. Not an outlet pipe on either side of the car.

So is 2 1/2 in and out for the exhaust fair enough?

Don't go with 2 1/2" go with 2 1/4". Don't take a chance on messin with your low end. You don't have much why take the risk?
I kept my stock resonator, cause I noticed that when some guys removed it, it made the car much louder. Some of those guys said they were thinking about putting it back in, just my 2 cents.

i dont know about you guys, but i could barely hear my dynomax until i got the resonator removed, its very good at muffling the sound (imagine that!).

Whoever gave you the idea that a muffler is supposed to muffle sound is crazy

Must be a difference between hatchback and sedans and coupes.
Because with my hatchback I can hear my resonator back dynomax system real good. To good, I get a booming sound from 2700 to 3700 that overrides everthing else big time. The first time I drove threw a tunnel I realized that everyone else gets to hear my system pretty darn good!

I love the sound of my dynomax in fact at first it was too loud so I shoved a nice long tip in the end to quiet it down some.

i just a dynomax super turbo on my cavy yesterday, its deeper than stock, but not a whole lot louder( def noticeable tho).

it used to have a fart cannon on it, i wuz tired of it, so i got that and got a dual tip and had them weld up for 100 ( tip, muffler, welding)

whats sad is the tip was as much as the muffler!

    Dynomax products are good...

I've purchase three Dynomax products for three different cars. I first installed a SuperTurbo on my old '84 Toyota Celica GTS. I then installed a 3" UltraFlow on my old '75 Datsun 280z. My last Dynomax was installed on my '86 Jeep Cherokee. In all three applications I was happy with gain in power. The 280z with the 3" Ultra Flow was especially loud but the other two cars had a low key hum to it. The muffler doesn't screem or whine. The Dynomax will set off a few alarms even at low RPMs. It produces a rich deep sound. Dynomax have fair prices compared to other brands and are easy to find.

I'm working on other aspects of my 3G before I get to the exhaust but I'm pretty sure that I'll be getting a Dynomax again.

Maybe this Ultra Flow SS muffler?

Gee let me guess,.....the people that are putting down the Dynomax are people that spent 3 to 4 times as much on their own muffler, didn't they. Nothing wrong with buying what ya want. But even cheap mufflers are going to last far longer than your going to stay interested in keeping your car. Come on guys flowmaster, magnaflow and dynomax mufflers are just fine. Some people think they are cheesey and don't sound right but a few of us like price and sound. Unlike buying the wrong struts for your lowered car, your not gonna go wrong with your choice of muffler.
    Buy what ya like.
