    Bare with me...

I know this is can be considered a retarded question but I wanted to make sure:

Does the adaptor required for this deck:

    (Sony CDX-MP30)
    http://ca.pricegrabber.com/search_ge...&mode=googleca

    Fit this one:

    (SONY XPLOD CDX-L550X)

what adapter are you talking about?
are you talking about honda plug? than yes. every aftermarket HU will need a plug that you can buy at walmart or any autoparts store for less than $10.

i know of the plug/wiring harness/adaptor (or all three?), but would like to know if all sony xplod's use the same adaptors and harnesses and if not, then just if the above two decks require the same plug ins...thoughts?

HK, the adapter is Universal. The wires on the end of your radio terminate in bare(well, possibly covered) wires, as does the end of the adaptor. You just match up wires according to the instructions that come with the adaptor, twist the wires together(or solder if that's your thing), cover with tape/shrink wrap, or use crimp/slide-on connectors, and plug the white end of the adaptor into the plug in your car, and that's it.

Edit: Unless you're talking about the wires coming out of the radio, in which case yes, it's usually specific to the model of stereo, and you'll have to contact Sony (most likely) to get one for your model.
