my 87 was at 105 in 5th at 3500, it wouldnt go anymore grrrr i had 3 ppl in the car and i was 100 and as soon as we closed the windows the needle creeped up, it was ill
o yea just wondering what if you doing 100-130 mph and slam the ebrake all the way up? what if you turn the steering wheel all the way? would u die

ive got the lx-i up to about 105, think i could have gone a little faster but by then the car was so loose i didnt wanna DIE. lol, i was on a little backroad that goes strait for miles n miles. my uncle has gotten me up to about 145 in his z28...v8's are no joke boy.
drove my mom to work today, coming home, this freeway is kinda down hill, i was like 4th at 7 g's, that was bout 120. 5th i think it was round 5-6 g's (was looking at the road and pissin my pants) when i pushed it all the way to 125, wow! it was sooo slow pickin up in 5th gear. i was like "keep pushin it, keep pushing it, don't stop!" but i did at 125. too scary! i swear it took like 5 mins from 120 to 125 mph.
btw: no one was on the road. hahaha was bout 7am

ive made it upto100 in my old dx auto, 130 in my 3000gt in 5th gear at about 5000 rpms and a 7k redline

'89 accord with 160k miles: 0 mph. i bought it with a broken tranny and broken window.
'87 toyota pickup 160k miles: 95 mph so far, havn't pushed it all the way yet, every mile there is a 5-0 around. this state has a lot of ricer.
87 lx-i 4 dr. 115mph, think I could have done more, but ran out of straight away on freeway.

I have done 135 mph in the 1/4 mile in fourth gear

i just hit 100mph(maybe just a bit more..., wasn't really watching the speedo...) in my 4dr coming down out of the canyon. curvy roads(not WAY curvy, but still) with 3 other people in the car. the speed limit in the canyon is 50, maybe 40-45 where i hit 100. anyways, yah, it was fun.

Mine's doing about 130 with the new tranny. It was topping out at 115 or so. The new transmission is out of a 87' Lxi w/ 90,000mi completely rebuilt with choice quality stuff. Getting better gas mileage too, about an extra 35mi per tank.

Well i have only gone to about 90 Before it starts to shake like a bitch. I need my new Tires alined. LOL Dosn't matter anyays because getting a Acura Ingegra Soon proably 94-96. I will miss this car if my tires are right i have gone about 110 ez i love this a20 engine... Could have gone alot faster 2 but CA has ALOT of Highway Patrol oon the freway.

I hit 130 in my '99 Cougar, but it tops out at 140...just ran out of highway at 130... Haven't gotten the Lx-i hatch going yet, but within the next 2 weeks it should be rollin'!
with my auto one i got it up to 110 and w/ my manual one i got it up to 128 on the HW.......................it was fun to drive like that since thea was no one except me on the HW like around 1 in the mornin........................

about a month ago, when i was coming home from CA, my friend and i hit a 120mph, but the funny thing is we didn't even believe it at first(his speedo can be questionable at times). it wasn't until we started counting seconds(using the cd player) between mile markers that we believed it. it's kinda crazy to have mile markers fly by every 30 seconds. kinda cool to though. this was in a '89 LX 5spd.

89 LXI with 225000 miles, 105. That was in 5th, just stepping on it from about 65-70 with a headwind. Oh yeah, that was before the dumbass coffee can I put on, so now maybe 150 top speed

On a long stretch of vermont highway I had mine below the 130, and after that ? the numbers stop. so 130+?
Late for school one day, 125 in 4th...imagine seeing this doing 125 down the highway.
