for damn sure i'm not tired of looking at your car. lookin good man. thats gotta be the shit with that great engine. some guy has a B18 VTEC he wants me to look at since he heard i wanted something along that line. he wants between $500-$700 for engine and transmission. its a manual. i dont think i should pass that chance up, engine has low miles too. i think right under 70000 miles.

thanks for the replies guys. the accord is only driven twice max 3 times out of the week. that's how appreciative i am and proud of it. jus tryin to fully retore it now.

as for HONDABOY.. dont miss out on that chance. hell if you dont want it, i'll take it. im in the process of doing a 2.0 GSR block turbo for my hatch. that's one hell of a price to pay for any dohc vtec motor. you're practically stealing it.

btw, steve, how's your set up doing? i havent heard of it in a long time.

    thanks again

Daaayum! I was wondering where u went... car looks awesome as usual! And I love the watanabe's.

Is that dyno sheet with the B18c5? If not, do u think u have more power now or less? I am assuming less because the engine is stock.

    Thumbs up

very nice sleeper set-up you got there. except those bright red racing seats, those scream "wanna race?" does placeracing tell you the details on how to install everything or do you have to pretty much figure it for yourself? if so, can you let me know how you get that engine to work in there? what tranny did you use? how is the vtec done to make it work? how did you deal with the ECU and OBD issues? did placeracing provide an adapter harness to allow you to plug in the b18c5 stock ECU to the 3gee harness? PM me or reply back to this post please. thanks man.

i say boost that biotch and you should be in the low to mid 11's easy. boost + NO2, maybe 10's? wow that would be sweet. would be nice to do a re-sleeve and bore it out to about 2.1L with forged pistons too, with that...maybe 9's/low 10's? damn, makes me jizz just thinking about it.

Ummmm.... How about NO?! lol... It's a b18c5... you could easily run 13's on that engine N/A which i think he has already done, or maybe that was with his old engine... thats what I plan to do, just build up the c5 n/a get mad power, and even better sleeper status.

i'm not talking about doing 13's. i'm talking about breaking into the 10's. you have to boost the B18C5. you can't do 10's/11's with N/A alone. at least not with a sedan body. but i think the B18C5 runs on pretty high compression ratio. might have to change out the pistons to lower compression ones.

although i admit, a B18C5 is pretty rare and go for about 5 grand easy. it's hard enough to get one and swap it in let alone boost it/improve it and keep it perfectly tuned and managed under boost. but for a daily driver, a 13 sec car is frikin' sweet indeed. props to ya jon.

Actually I think you could probably get near the 10's or 11's if you built the shit out of that engine... and yes the C5 does have a very high compression ratio, and that is why most people do not boost it... If you want to boost an engine, then get the B18c1... the GSR motor has lower compression than the c5, and therefore is better for boosting. I know a local guy here was running 13's with his boosted b18c1 in his teg, and that is way above see level, so really he was running 12's. Either way, you would have to do a tonn of work to either engine to run less than 12's... and IMO its not worth it, especially in a 3g, mainly because the car would have to be completely gutted and reinforced to run times that fast and not fall apart, lol.

My car is doing great except for my IACV taking a shit on me. Check out my latest kill in the racing stories section. I am still untuned and running a tad lean, but overall it pulls like a monster.
