If I were you I'd do a takeoff-roof. My buddy did that with his s10 lowrider, and it's pretty cool. You chop it off in one peice and then put a seal on both edges that you chopped, and then you make latches to hold it together when you put it back on. That way you have a convertible that is also a hardtop.
I'd do that, but it sounds like you're looking for something quick and dirty.
    * oh yeah, there are kits for this....dunno where though

wheew, knock it off? and of course I can act an ass with it, it's my car. The best reason to go to town on it is because it didn't cost much. Ever seen pimp my ride? If this turns out well, (which it will) It's gonna be something that nobody has. The coffee can was because there were no hood scoops laying around my house....sorry. If the fact that me having fun with MY car, and having the resources to do it without reprocution makes you angry, I sincerely apologize, I am not doing it to hurt anybody's feelings. Shit, when it's done, I'm gonna put an alarm on it so you can't jack it......See sig

so, today I found someone who is a good welder and he's gonna weld me a roll cage so that the car maintains its structural integrity....he's also gonna rebuild the carb for me. One of my friends might come over today, and she has a camera phone so I can take pics.

lol, it does get the air in there pretty good, but I need a real scoop to condense the air and force it in there....I got a new air compressor with a whole bunch of air tools and an angle grinder yesterday so the project is gonna move alot faster
