89 integra (4dr) same as accord?

I'm looking at a 89 integra 4dr isn't the body and engine similar to the same year accord (4dr)? What are the differences?

Also is the 89 model year accord engine the same engine in 93 accord, cause that year just uses a different intake manifold for 10 hp, and could you just swap that on and have 140hp (what is the stock hp of a 3 gen accord?(89 fuel injected))

    Thanx

    Ok lets sort this out.
86-89 Integra is nothing like an Accord, it was built in a differant plant and shares little components with an Accord.

No the 89 Accord engine in differant than the 93.
The 89 Carbed engine is the A20A1 and has 98 HP
the 89 Fuel injected engine is the A20A3 and has 120 HP.
The 93 Accord has a F22A* engine that mounts completely in a completely differant fashon. It would be a hella difficult swap to do. And no, the F22A intake manifold will not work on an A20, allready tried that.

Well how come it looks so similar? i guess its the hideaway lights
Does anyone know anything about that year integra? How much hp does it have?

Well is the integra based on the accord platform or the civic? the 90-93 version is based on the civic.

The 86-89 Integra was based on the third generation Civic platform (84-87) and shares its front torsion bars and semi-independant rear suspension. They came with the D16A1 powerplant (DOHC non-vtec) which produced 113hp in its browntop 86-87 version and 118hp in its blacktop 88-89 version with a zippy 7000 rpm redline.

Thanx I had trouble finding a site on them.

    One last question:

    Which would be faster 89 Accord EX (4dr 5spd) or 89 Integra (4dr 5spd)?

The Accord's torque will give it a bit of a jump off the line, but the teg's twin cams, lighter weight, and quick gear ratios will let it pass the Accord pretty swiftly...

the integra seems to respond mods better than an accord! Hes busted everyones ass(and hangs with me) at the races with a few hundred in mods(i/h/full exhaust) and weight reduction!
    I havent forgotten my roots

My 88 Accord LXi coupe 5spd weighs in at 2551 lbs.

My 87 Integra LS Special Edition weighs in at 2355 lbs.

The first generation Integra, being based on the Civic chassis, is most certainly lighter than the 3Gee.

The reason i'm asking this is because i've found a 89 integra 4dr for a good price with only 60000miles, its kinda ugly with the two tone colors though:

    What do you think?
