    Db drag

Well, I am going to enter a local db drag race tomorrow. Last year I walked away with a 2nd place trophy in the 0-200(cone area) class. I hit a 140.6 with my single 12" infinity perfect.. I build a different box for this year so hopefully it will be an improvement. Wish me luck!!

    Peace out.

Good luck! What kind of box are you using? I'm going to be getting two 12" perfects in a sealed box here pretty soon.

I'm running a ported box at around 1.75 cu. ft. The sealed box will give you great sound and power handling. Make sure to give the 12's plenty of power. I'm running about 400 watts to mine off an MTX amp..

    peace.

i'll be giving them 300 each from a jbl 600.1. Sound good? As you could probably tell by my sealed box choice, i'm more into sound quality. Tell us how it went when you get back.

Well, disappointing day at the db lanes today. I came in 4th The competition was very tough this year. I hit my all time high spl however... I metered a 141.7 db on my last run. If I would have done that last year, I would have won 1st because the guy who beat me only hit a 141.2 db..
The two finalist this year both had the new Kicker L7 square sub.
One hit a 146 and the other hit a 143. Damn, those things must be loud!!!! They are made for competition though. My infinity is more of an SQ sub but I am happy with my results. Oh, Plus the guy who won was running over 1000w. I would be interested to see how I would do with a bigger amp.

Hey 87pimpsterdocious, 300 watts apiece sounds good. But since you are running a sealed box, you might want to try maybe a little more power. Maybe the BP1200.1 instead of the BP600.1. I know that you can get the bigger amp for no more then about $100..

I want to replace my MTX with the BP1200.1 some day when I get the money. But hey, let me know which one you go with and tell me how it sounds. Because if the BP600.1 sound good I wouldn't mind saving some money and getting that as well

    Thanks for reading.

    Peace out..
