Question vaccum idling problem when a/c is on

I have a honda accord 87 and it seems to idle alright. At least i think but when i turn on the A/C the RPMs droop, if i step on the gas its alright but as soon as i get to a stop sign and it has to iddle on its own it feels like if its going to die. What can it be?

    Thanks for the help

you can either A) bump your idle up a bit or B) look into a possible idle boost solenoid. The solenoids on the drivers side inner fender around about where the cruise control is

First off do you have a DX, LX, LXi or SEi?
If you have a carbureated DX or LX read the very bottom of this

My bad, I did not notice this was in carb tech.
Try turning the A/C idle screw clockwise. You might also have a vacuum leak.

Just make sure you adjust it when A/C is on... and with the blower on full and the headlights on... do this test when the car is fully warmed up.

If the adjustment has no effect then there is possibly a vacuum leak...

also make sure the main vacuum idle controler is set right... check it by throwing your car in gear... the idle should drop to about 900 - 1,000 rpm steady idle... do this test when the car is fully warmed up.
