    how low for my 3G?

how low will i lower my 3G LX? im from the phils and getting an original lowering spring here is hard. my friend told me that we'll just cut the coils. or buy a surplus spring and cut it.

Well lets see, if you cut the coils that will be one of the biggest mistakes you've made. It rides like complete ass and it kills your struts really fast. If you can't find any lowering springs there then I might suggest checking on ebay or "market place" here on the board and you should find a decent deal between the two. But if you cut your coils you will regret it.

ok. but the thing is there are no lowering springs here in the phils. that's why il just buy a surplus spring and cut it and i will still have my original springs.

by the way, how heavy is a 3G LX?

There doesnt have to be lowering springs in the "phils"... Check on ebay and here (3geez.com) and you can have them shipped for a reasonable price. And as far as the last question (by the way, how heavy is a 3G LX?) use search... Always search before asking questions that have probably been answered many times before

Also if you're going to get lowering springs it would pb be best if you got aftermarket struts as well

I'm hoping to get one today and put it on. I had the car for 24 hours when it broke. I had just bought it the day before... I'm just so happy about it

yeah...ludes have better handling than the accord. but as for the ride, i like the accord much better. i got a B16 for my accord...what do you think bout the swap(aside from the low-torque everybody is saying)?

Overall I like the prelude better... More power, better handling, better interior and exterior design... But the accord also is a family car. but yeah I'd take a 3rd gen lude over a 3rd gen accord

DO NOT CUT YOUR SPRINGS YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!

Yes pimpin 87 LXI is talking from experience. I felt like I was gonna die in that car. It was completely unstable.

check ebay for 89 Accord springs
If you keep looking at the marketplace people sell them all the time around here. You can get a new set for around $100 if you look enough.

    Read this shit

    B 16 Swap - https://www.3geez.com/showthread.php?t=90

The B16 rocks, even though it lacks torque you can make it up with sperrior gearing with the correct tranny.
I say go for it, nothing like DOHC VTEC

i got the b16 installed and the car will come out probably this coming week. btw, i got an LSD tranny...is that ok or not?

I wish that was my car, it belongs to the user OLDSCHOOLSWAP.
Search through the Accord Pics section if you want to see more of it. He has one of the slickest 3rg gen Accords in the world.
