Eibach or H&R

So, I finally have the money to get some lowering springs for my car, and seeing as I am getting my rims sometime in July, I want to order the springs soon.

I am trying to decide between the Eibach springs, or the H&R's. I am running tokico blues all around right now, and will be until at least august with the new springs, and maybe longer.

I know that the Eibachs come 2 different ways, and one is 1.5" drop, what is the other? and which is which?

I have heard that Eibach puts a lot of R&D into their products so i feel very comfortable about them, but I am not sure how they will ride. I know bitesize has them... so bitesize, how do they ride?

THe main thing im worried about with the H&R's is that most I have seen look really wierd because the way the wheel arches are in the back it looks lower then the front. So I am trying to decide between these 2 companies.

Well I cant recommend Eibachs to you because mine suck. They sagged and they dont provide a very comfortable ride. I actually got H&R's and am installing them soon along with my Koni Fronts and Revalved Bilstein Rears. I have Tokico's now and Eibachs so that would be the same setup you would have and I cant say that I recommend them.

When I had my car and the H&R's it really was a great car to drive handling wise and the ride quality was by no means something you could not live with everyday. First I had Koni's then front revalved Bilsteins and rear Koni's. I would highly recommend revalved front bilsteins and you should be able to save a few bucks and get tokico's for the rear. Though of course is would be best to have the revalved Bilsteins in back to.

Eibachs for the 3rd gen come in 1" or 1.4" drops.

I think it's nescessary (for looks) to cut 1/2 a coil off the fronts.

I have both sets of those springs and the H&R's are great with my Koni's. The eibach's are much lower than stated and dont ride nearly as good but keep in mind im using Koni's also.

I love my H&Rs: noticeable handling improvement with a reasonable daily-driver ride. The back would have looked a little lower as mentioned earlier, but I set the rear Konis to raise the rear spring perch a half inch. The drop ended up being 1.3" front and 1.2" rear. Without adjusting the perch position it would have been about 1.7" lower in the back. Plan on getting better dampers, at least for the front, or you'll end up with some bounce.

The sportlines end up much lower than 1.5 over time and mine it at atleast 2.25.

No never do that, just do the front pinch fork mod.

Well I ordered the H&R's... should be here on thursday, and I got them at a pretty good price too... only $250CDN.

Let us know what you think of how well they work with the Tokicos once everything is put together.
