    fabricating CAI

I had bought an AEM CAI for a '90 Accord, but decided to make my own. I got a molded plastic tube (about 2 1/2 inches) from a leaf blower, and various silicone tubing for bends, etc. I will use an AEM filter, inside the front fender. Will post pics when done. My opinion, a strong opinion, is that any kind of metal is subject to heat soak, and that heats up the incoming air temp. Plastic is one of the best materials, as it rejects heat more rapidly than any type of metal.

but...shouldn't the heat on the inside be absorbed into the metal so it's cooler inside?
