Gettin a Dynomax super turbo, quick Q

Ok I'm redoing my exhaust with a dynomax super turbo with 2.25 piping from the stock cat back. I heard to get part#WLK-17731 from summitracing.com. I see in a few posts people all recommended that part number but it has a 3" inlet, how would that work with 2.25 piping?

Just get one with a 2.25" inlet. I'm not sure they make them with a 2.25" but get the closest size you can that isn't smaller then your pipe. An exhaust shop might have an adapter or a few adapters then can string together to mate 2.25 to 3", but there is really no point in getting the bigger inlet/outlet.

You want part #WLK-17731. That has the 2.25" inlet. You must have typed in the number wrong by accident when you searched for it.

    Super duper

Ok It's settled then. I like the way my car feels now and I feel that the exhaust is my biggest bottleneck. I have a short ram intake and a delta 272 cam. I am not getting a header yet, what kind of increase do you think I will get with replacing the piping with 2.25 and the super turbo muffler, keeping stock cat on?

do local muffler shops already have 2.25" piping or do you have to order it?

Any place that does custom exhaust work should have it in stock.

Got my exhaust done today! Stock header and cat with a resonator, 2 1/4 piping to a turbo muffler. It is quieter than before (due to the mega hole in my old muffler) but it sounds great when I open it up. Could stand to be a little louder, but I do like it sounding like a normal car again when I'm not on it! Next step: header and straight pipe the cat.

yeah those Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers look cheap , they have good flow, but sound like shit! unless you want it to have that sleeper look.

Man i just looked at the web site for my local muffler shop (Meineke) and a stainless steel cat back system is ALOT! ($350-400). im just gonna go with a nice muffler/high flow cat.

I wouldn't even say I got 5-8 hp, more like 2. And yes, I am going for that sleeper look. My car is rusty, the bumper is falling off, my front passenger corner is messed up because a deer hit me. I love surprising the shit outta people! Anybody wants some pics of my ugly sleeper?

A deer hit you??? How fast was he going???

I have the super turbo also with headers back 2.25 inch with no cat or resonator. The muffler sounds like shit but but gives good performance... Im thinking about picking up a Magnaflow soon.

I really like the stock look thats why I have my dynomax with a stock looking 2.25in tip. I have always wanted a DTM style muffler though.
