    Eibach# EIB-4023.140 for 1.3 inch lowering springs.
I dunno if you can even find sway bars or camber kits. Good luck.

Koni used to make struts for this car.

Maybe you can find used ones.

Try whilteline for sway bars. I hacked up a set of civic coil overs on mine.

You're going to have an easier time finding parts in australia then you are in the us. Try king springs for lowrering springs, and whiteline for sway bars.

Not to respawn an old thread. But I've searched everywhere for these Eibach springs. I found a site that sells them, but after I ordered them, they told me they were discontinuted.

Anybody know of a place to get them? Somewhere? Anywhere?

    Re: 2nd Gen Suspension

If the eibachs are gone then your only option is probably king springs. I forget if they have a us distributor but I know they will ship to the us (at least they used to). They make decent parts too. The us$ has a favorable exchange rate to the au$ so it'll make up for some of the shipping. The springs are still in their catalog and the link a few posts up still works. You want the 83-85 springs if you have an 84-85 since they are on a more jdm modle schedule over there. I believe they are 30mm drop springs. Definatly won't make the car look slammed, but slamming a 2g really f's up the camber.

Yeah, I definitely don't want to slam it. Just a little drop is all I'm looking for. I'm hoping that they will perform better than the OEM springs. Or at least my springs that have 270,000 miles on them.

I've seen the B+Gs on here, but I'm just afraid that the drop might be too drastic. It's 1.6 inches vs 1.3 inches. I know I'm going to screw up my camber, and I'd rather it be closer to 1 inch vs 2 inches. I dunno, do you think it will really be that drastic of a difference? I was also thinking of taking my springs to a place in Portland and having some custom lowering springs made so I don't have to go down that low.

well my friend has a 1st gen teg and he is cheap and did not put a camber kit so his tires wear out from the inside. he goes to another friends shop and rotates the tires...so he puts the front right tire on the front left rim. and then wears out the side that has not been warn. its a smart idea but i would not want to be taking off my tires. he says that the tires last him like 25k since they are high performance tires

    Re: 2nd Gen Suspension

I was tossing around ideas for an airbag system on the struts, also ideas for a camber adjustment on the lower control arm mounting points, use cam plates like the rear toe adjustment. Has anyone used the koni inserts? how do you install them?

    Re: 2nd Gen Suspension

I dunno how to install the Koni inserts, but I bought a set for all around. Found the rears on eBay NOS for about $25 shipped, and bought the fronts from ClassicGarage.com. I can scan the directions for doing the fronts if you'd like. It requires a little bit of drilling.

Also, I've never seen a camber kit for these cars. I really would love to find one, then I wouldn't be so hesitant to lower it. I don't want to remove my tires all the time for rotations!

    Re: 2nd Gen Suspension

No camber kits for these cars because the struts clamp into the hubs. The camber kits usually use an offset bolt. The best way to get camber adjustment is going to be camber plates, which of course, have to be custom. You could probalby find some weld on plates for another car that has the same strut shaft diameter and then chop the tops of your strut towers off and weld them in. At that point you'd problaby want some coil overs so you have more room to push the springs out. The back problaby wont be that bad since the control arms are about a 3 feet long... (ok slight exageration)... So you may be good back there with a moderate drop. These cars don't exactly have very solid suspesion design and you'll never get the slop out of it. The chasis isn't very rigid either so if you go too stiff on the springs then the chassis will just flex instead so don't expect stellar performance from the suspension.

    Re: 2nd Gen Suspension

Rather than move the top of the strut, I was proposing moving the LCA in and out by means of a slotted bolt hole and cam plates to provide the distance/holding mechanism. I really don't think it would be that hard, and could be made to be really beefy.

Strut tower braces and subframe connecters are a must on the 2gen chassis. Watch the welding thread 'cause as soon as the inspection is done, a lot more metal is gonna appear under that car.

Edit: I'd like to see someone come up with a custom long a-arm setup on this car rather than that stupid sheetmetal LCA

Sorry about my delay, guyhatesmycar, I will scan those directions and post them here for you in a little bit. My scanner software is acting up on me. :/

Also, though, I was wondering if anybody has had experience with these:

    http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Or even people's experience with the brand...

    Thanks!

    Re: 2nd Gen Suspension

I've never seen that sway bar kit before, it says it fits 82-85 so it might be worth a shot. I know Honda changed the end link hardware between 83 and 84 so it must have "one size fits all" hardware included.

I've also been having trouble finding Koni inserts, ie where to buy.
