    advice on these speakers

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=38646
i'm lookin for some speakers for the fronts, 5.25 should fit right? these jbl's i thought were a good deal. the thing that draws me too it is the 75 watt rms output. you think it's a good deal? buy it now is like 38 bucks shippin will be 16. i don't plan to get an amp or anything, the cd player is a panasonic 200 watt with mp3/wma capability. also can anyone explain wat "subwoofer preamp" means in a head unit?

    thanx much.

Thats about the going price, they are low end for JBL. In the pic I don't see the tweeters. I did a quick google and they should come with seperate tweets. You should e-mail the guy to see if they come with them. You can probably mount the tweeters on the inside of the review mirror mounts.
Suowoofer preamp? Hmm, it probably means that there is a pair of rca connectors on the back of the deck along with a low pass filter built into the deck.

Let me tell you what, I got my cd player, Its Kenwood, 50wx4, 2 outputs, and blah blah blah, for only 64 dead washingtons, and what i see, that thing for 140 bucks is not worth it, you can find cheaper and save some dough, About speakers, They cost no more than 30, at least i paid $35 for 2 pairs of Kenwood 6.5" 140W speakers, but if you want something better than that, you can spend whatever price you want, its up to you, I just said what i think...

Thats a pretty decent deck. A friend of mine has that exact one and its pretty slick. I dunno about the price but it seems decent for a MP3 deck with some spiffy features like a remote and the sub output.

i don't know why you are going with 5.25" speakers, because 6.5" speakers is stock speaker size.

yea you can go 6.5 in the front, just be carefull with the depth though, you might have to cut out some of the basket to get them to fit.

pre amp output. is like instaed of useing regular wire your useing rca cable.
and since it's a sub pre-amp output your only gonna get low's , intsead of the mid and hi range's.
plus useing pre-amp prevent alot of noises.
