    B series questions

i read the FAQ and it suggested a cable operated 4th Gen Civic Tranny ( 88-91 ) and from what i've read thats a D series tranny and that won't fit. am i wrong? Also looking at the pics of "pinoyaccord" on cardomain ( hes on the board here) he had the 4th gen civic hubs on his car. would that make the expensive custom axles un-needed? aanndd i know that certain motors have to have a certain angle to them to run correctly and all, so how would i determine that angle when i fabricate the mounts? ( i'm putting in an b18, non v-tec for now. i have a b18 v-tec block as well but no head )

what cable operated transmissions will fit the b series motors anyways?

No need to fabricate mounts. Someone already makes them. The cable tranny from the 4th gen Civic is a JDM tranny. B16A came in the JDM 4th gen Civic.

yeah, i know place racing makes the mounts but 640 bucks its quite a far cry from some integra mounts, some steel, and some welding. i read about the JDM civic SIR & canadian VT's having the b16, but i didn't assume i'd be able to get one of their transmissions too easily. are they available from the motor importers as well?

Try eBay first. You may have to have to do some sweet talking to an importer to get just a tranny.

i've been searching around on g2ic.com and it seems that their JDM tranny is a cable operated S1, i'm going through the classifieds trying to find something now, so far just one, and it has an LSD
