Check your magnetic pickup!!! My friend had the same problem with his!!!!
Cold Air intake, Apexi N1 turbomuffler w/2.25 piping, H22 injectors, gutted cat, Dc sport header, accel coil, MSD ignition, Dropzone coilovers
if i get the huge ass ACCEL coil (140001) will it mess up the ECU?
will i have to get a new (or re-time) distributor?
thanks in advance

I have one and I wish I wouldn't have bought it. I didn't notice any increase in power. I does look nice though. It doesn't do anything to your ecu.
you didn't see any power increase?
well you won't see any power increase unless you have some basic mods. plus when i got my accel coil, it helped a lot with idle and high rpm band.
Alex.
ill prolly get an MSD and ACCEL

Why don't u just get the MSD coil.
Stop bench racing and pick up a wrench
I know my spelling sucks and I suck with computers deal with it.
cuz that would be too easy.

I know it sounds dum but who cares. Ive got a bunch of things to ask about this, cause i have been lookin around everywhere and i keep seeing accel coil. So.....
#1 what is this coil?
#2 where is it located at?
#3 what does it do?
#4 should I get accel if i choose to change this mysterious coil
1 it is an upgrade for you ignition coil
2 https://www.3geez.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=114
3 Provides more spark to your plugs
4 Yes an accel coil is chep and effective
Here's where it is.
Here's another shot of it
Damn Man you just keep following all my posts huh
Good gravy, that is one clean engine bay! How'd you do it?
One quick question: I got the coil and "connected" it but it is a pain in the ass to connect those big positive wires to that small post. What's the best way to go about it?

I used some soder melt splices and turned the 2 wires into one with a wire coming out the other side and then used an eye hole connector on the posts.
Mam that strut bar looks good by that webber carb Mike.
I'm your local R&D nut. Fabracting, welding, tuning and breaking my stuff so you don't have to.
Maybe I will have to keep my A20A1 for awhile longer. I like it... And I just twisted the wires and bent them into a semi-circle and then tightend the nut down onto the wire.
And thanks, I like how it looks too.
Mike, I have an Optima Red Top in my car, too! How long have you had yours? I bought mine last Thanksgiving and was wondering if it really will last twice as long as conventional batteries. Here in the Dallas area conventional batteries last only about three years thanks to the summer heat.
I've had mine for about 1 year now. Haven't had any problems.
I put on some eye-hole connectors and sodered the wires to them, and finally connected the eye-holes to the posts! Works like a charm! The wires won't be popping off now. I only left it connected all crappy cuz I had to leave in a hurry: dad was on his way to the hospital in an ambulance. It's all good now.

Dont' waste your money. Upgraded coil will do nothing for your car's performance if your original coil is working good.,
Seriously? What if you regap your plugs? It's gotta do something!
