first pic is the silencer tube, connect it to airbox if you dont' want the annoying bubbling sound. second pic is the pcv hose, it's suppose to put burnable gas and fumes into the airbox for combustion. you can cap if off with an oil breather filter (pepboys, kragen's) but make sure to get the stock set up back for emission, if the pcv is not connected you won't pass.

well when you had that stock air cleaner, that was connected to the air it sucked vacuum that blow's into the exhaust manafold.
i took mine' off (86lx) or you can leave it on. it just sucks air from the intake intop the exhaust.

if you wanna get rid of it then follow the black box to a metal pipe that has a valve mounted on top of it. dissconnect the vacuum line and plug it.
to be honest without it the engine bay sound's alot quieter.

Yeah the Air suction pipe... you can connect the silencer to the air box/intake if you want... or you can disable the vavle by capping the vacuum line to the diaphragm thats by the valve cover oil cap... I think it's #5... not sure though.

Don't cap the diaphragm itself, cap/plug the vacum line to the diaphragm.
