It's not a drinking problem it's a drinking solution.
you don't have to remove the carb... what do you not understand... all you do is remove one part from the A/C idle boost linkage on the right side of the carburetor... this will basicly get rid of the idle boost function.
Then you go to the left side of the carb, same side as the throttle cable... you look at the secondary throttle shaft... remmove the nut and the washer and in place of the washer you put the part off the A/c idle boost linkage... then you tighten the nut back down, without the washer. Don't overtighten the throttle shaft nut or you can casue problems with the throttle sticking open. which could casue you to get into an accident.
So you saw this thread? https://www.3geez.com/showthread.php?t=17102
also some other pics,
In the 2nd pic he's pointing with the screw driver at the the linkage part you need,
In the 3rd pic he shows you where he got the part from.
The 4th pic shows him testing the linkage to see that both plates open.

Ok one more question, i live in an emissions controlled state, therefore i cant remove the vaccum lines. Can i still do this modification and have it operate normally?

yes, just make sure you warm up the car fully before going to the emissions check.
If you don't trust it, you can hoahead and remove the peice and stick on the vacuum line from the carb to the diaphragm... there is no need to remove the secondary diaphragm.
