    Transmission Problem...

I've just noticed on my AT transmission that when you shift from like R to N the transmission makes a wierd sound like crrrrkk, its kinda like a scraping sound.. what can this be? It also happens between shifting to other positions, but i don't know if it sounds worse or not?

What can this be??? Is my transmission screwed? Im so fuckin pissed right know... Do i have to replace my transmission???!

does it just grind for like .5 second when you shift it from P to R or R to D or N or whatever? If continues to ratchet and grind for a few secs that bad but if it just grinds a little for about a half second then thats normal.

If it's loud, something isn't lining up right... it's odd that dropping it to neutral would make a sound.

There was one instance where I went from D4 into Park... that made a crrrrkk noise...
It could be that your shifter cable isn't adjusted right, but it would probably only make noise from D3 to 2... or N to R or N to D4

    Have you checked the fluid?

The fluid should be clear-red in color and should not smell burned. If it is dark or smells burned, replace it. It may also be beneficial to flush the tranny by changing the fluid repeatedly within 50-100 miles or so.
