    Brake pressure off??

my passenger side brakes on the front just started squeeking and the pads are very new. i think that my pressure is off because it takes the brake pedal about half way to the ground before i start to really slow down. also, if i hit it really hard ONLY the right front grabbs/skidds and i never noticed the rear brakes doing much... so does anyone know or should i go to the garage? thanks

Are you prepared to wrench mentaly? Are you perpared to spend 100 bucks at sears for a jack and jack stands. It may only be a problem with the rear brakes being way out of adjustment, all would would have to do is insert a screwdriver to adjust rear shoes, did you do the front pads yourself? If so,how did the calipers recead? If they were real hard to compress you need new ones. You can do a quick check of your rear brakes yourself by just getting wheels off ground and spinning tires then apply brakes, you' be surpised at how many rides out there don't even work.
