oops, i just took the mountin piece off to find out it's an alpine CDA-9827. uhhh i found a faceplate on ebay, and it's 42 bucks. but heres's another question. would any faceplate work? don't they have to reprogram it to match my specific unit? it's super expensive at direct from the company. yes pple tried to steal it from my friend's car. when he got to his car, the cd player was hanging like 1 inch out and face plate was gone.

yeah i was wondering also. when i bought my car it had an OLD sony cd player in it, and i was wondering if a faceplate off of any other sony cd player would work on mine. or do i have to buy the whole cd player with faceplate? Basically: Are some sony faceplates universal.

you need a faceplate from that model, they do that to deter theives from stealing just the deck when the owner has the faceplate removed.

hey ct, if that shit is stolen, find out who stole it and beat the shit out of them, then find the owner and give his shit back. It not fair to have your stuff taken from you. I know how it feels to get car audio stuff stolen, and it really sucks balls. I very much hate it when people buy stuff that they know was stolen. Your right accordepicenter, if you buy stolen shit and know that its stolen, your just as bad as the person who stole it. And fuck you if you ever steal or buy or recieve stolen stuff and know that it is stolen.

yea read that and tell me its ok to buy stolen shit. If i ever catch anyone with my stuff in their trunk, there going to be in a hospital for a coule of weeks.

i'm sorry, let me get this straight. you guys think my friend bought a stolen cd player with out the face plate and gave it to me? no no, it was his, when he got out of class one day, the cd player was haning out of the holder in HIS car, with the faceplate gone, so he gave it to me and told me to find a face plate for it. phew!

well, the one on my sister's car is stolen, so...???? i take a shit on what you are gonna tell me, you can come to my house, and spit into my face, and never come back home, but dissapear in tha air(somewhere in the garbage container) and i don't give a damn fuck....

As for the faceplates, I have a Kennwood( i bought it on ebay, so STFU) and my friends cd player faceplate worked on my player, even if the cd players were different(they looked the same, but the numbers were different) and it worked perfectly...

yea ivanfbi, try saying that right after someone steals something of yours. you dont know how much it sucks so i understand why your saying that. CT, wait until the last 5 minnutes and then use your proxy bidding. You shouldent have too much trouble winning it if you try hard enough.

It if is an Alpine CDA9827 then you can use the CDA9807 faceplate if that helps too. you can try my faceplate for testing purposes if you want since i live remotely close to you.

I have a 9807 and ive used my friends 9827 face and it works so I don't see why it wouldn't work on the 9827.

Good deck came out in jan 2004. 50x4watts but 18rms. Wish it was 23rms like my 2003 model
