That looks pretty good. I think that will help a lot of people that have been wanting to do dual pipes. I think dual pipes are awesome but you need to have the right mufflers and or tips for it to sound and look good.

I was thinking of having a flowmaster muffler with 1 inlet and 2 outlets and then just run two pipes back and just put tips on the ends. I think that would be pretty decent. But I would just need to figure out where to mount the muffer. I might run into trouble since those mufflers made by flowmaster with the 1 in and 2 outs are usually for trucks and camaros and stuff. Vehicles with more power than a 4 banger

But what do you think about that idea think it would work? I should call flowmaster and ask them what muffler I should use for that setup.

as you can see, i had to plan for very little room to do anything with. that's why i went with the 2 glass packs. they dont sound like what i have heard on 4 cylinder trucks, but a really clean sound that is just so nice. turbo piping? i wish i had a turbo, like everyone else doesnt! lol. but yeah, i think if the spare tire well was smaller or deleted i could have done it much easier and put 2 mufflers on each side. but it works well how it is. also, i havent had any problems with scraping the piping. so thats good, as it would look like it would scrape.

that is sweet. cause that was my idea for doing the dual pipes. except i think 2.25 is a bit much. I have 2.25 all the way back right now but i think im gonna go 2.25 to the Y and then cut back to two 1.75 to keep some back pressure in the system.
**please side note for the two of you that always read my post and go talk shit about it, get a life**

You mean exhaust velocity... but yeah I would do the same 1.75" is a good size for duals.

Or for me maybe 2.5" then to dual 2.0"

    nice setup btw

How did you get the second pipe to stay up?? You welded on some clamps or something?

if i'm not mistaken, the second pipe is held on with welded hooks at the muffler. from the pics it doesn't look like it's hooked up anywhere after the split at the y pipe. soo i'm assumining it's hooked up by the muffler.

the second pipe on the left side is held up near the end right before the tip with a welded on support. in the 3rd pic posted where it says 2nd glass pack, there's a support there too, right after that is the Y pipe. if you look at the pix, you would think i'd have some problems with scraping stuff, but even i'm still surprised i dont. guess its the location under the rear axle area that would look that way.

you can order them online. JCW.com, probley Jegs.com, and Summit would have them. they should. i know pepboys had them when i looked, O'reilly auto parts has them. most any exhaust shop will carry them. usually go for around $15-$30, depending on what size and brand you get. mine are still holding up nice. the piping i have and the glass packs are still not rusting which is good. they sound really nice now too, not too loud or even buzzy sounding as "fart cans" can sound.

Looks really nice. Personally I'm glad you used more of a stock looking tip rather then the coffe cans. I like coffee cans but I don't like two of them.
