only thing still spinning is ya head

this has got to be one of the shittiest weeks months possibly lives i have ever had....?

so the motor is in. its connected and its running.......

there she is sitting pretty. has a bit of a time starting but runs strong. it was spinning all of 1st on a rolling start and chirpping 2nd. even with the aluminum flywheel. BUT, and its a big one, as you can see there is a problem under the car. im not sure why, but the tranny was leaking crazy oil. both axles are all the way in, but it was leaking from the driver side. i was careful taking it off and putting it back on. i dont remember spilling much oil when I took it off, but i put 2 quarts of new oil in. looks like it dumped about a quart or so out.... and of course there is a leaking injector. its coming from the upper part of the injector that feeds from the rail, although they all have new seals. I tell you if its not one thing its 8!!

obviously it was quite a frustrating day so I had to go for a drive...

no cars because i passed them all

thought this one was kinda cool...

and if anybody ever tells you that NOS doesnt make everything go blurry, its Horse Shit!!

    Proof that NOS works...

Lol, I like that last pic...

BTW I just found an old vid of me cruzin in the 3G... I was driving around testing out my ghetto throttle linkage for the weber which broke on me just before going to tracks and broke again at tracks... what a waste. I have vids of me fixing the linkage too.

your main tranny seal isnt screwed is it? i havent cracked into the tranny part of these cars yet but that sounds like a tranny front main seal. you cannt tell where the fluid is coming from? and next time you put new injector seals try putting a touch of dish washing soap on the seals, it will slide them on and then when it dries it will help them seal.

thats what I am affraid of. it might be the seal. and i just spit on the injectors to get them to go in.

lol, spit works too. but thats why you see tire guys putting dish soap on tires before they install. its more for the seal that the soap leaves when it dries. it almost acts like a glue on rubber materials.

thank you all for the compliments. i did have the camera out the window, but for some of them i was actually hanging out there too.

um shane i do not see where i was driving on the wrong side of the road. not that I dont do that a lot, but not in any of these pictures.

and Elijah the car is running and it moves, but i just didnt get any pictures from it. I might just go outside and do that right now though. hahahahaha

and what could be more priceless...

than trying to take a picture as proof the car runs, and NOT be able to catch it on camera. given that the camera is a bit slow and the hope that the operator might have been able to compensate for the delayed snap shot, still couldnt get anything.

    here is the first pass...

you can see the tracers exiting the left side of the picture.

and on pass number 2 the tracers exiting the right side of the picture

and just for you who may think that i am lieing here is a shot of pass number one before i actually ran it.

i tried to take some video the 3rd pass, but it started getting dark quick and the asshole down the street started yelling at me telling me 'its not a dagum drag strip, i'll call the cops!' so i had to go slow.
