new to 3G

what engines will swap into my 88 accord hatch and what is the stock size of what i have now. manuel says 2.0l but checked serial number with honda and they are saying 1.6l how can i possibly chech this. this is my first 3G sold my rustang and got it. seen some the cars on 3geez and am liking the possibilities for mine. and response would help

I would post such a comment in general or newbie introduction section... But . 3geez are great cars, and you'll like yours more the more your own it.

Relating to your question: you have a 2.0L motor. If yours is lx or dx, its a carb, and you have 98 crank hp. If you've got an lxi, its fuel injected and 120hp. You can swap a few b-series motors: b16 or b20a in... but read the stickies in the engine swap section and you'll see for yourself.
