performance tire suggestions???

i post on here once about the yok es100's and got a lot of helpful info on them and some other tires, but unfortunately not enough for my tire size. i have 195\60\14's. i need some performance oriented tires but i also need them to have good wet weather handling and decent snow ratings. i live in west texas and we don't get snow too much but we have been known to get a heavy snow. i've looked at the falken azenis but i don't think they have very good wet weather handling. plus they are only rated at like 8,000 miles, and as this is my daily driver i need a little bit longer tread wear. i do autocross as well so that is why i am looking for a performance tire that won't cost me a lot. so any suggestions that you guys would have would be awesome!

Goodyear NCT5's!!! Michelin is the best for wet and for mileage but, its hard rubber.

I tend to think if u want handling soft rubber cons- poor mileage

I think the NCT's are a good mid range tyre.

Ever tried 205's on your 14's? Falken and Yoko's do em!

My suggestion would be getting two sets of wheels and tires b/c there really is no way you'll be able to find an auto-cross tire that sticks and lasts more than 40K miles. I think it would pay off in the long run but if you don't have all that money at once, good luck finding some do-everything tires (my friend had some decent continentals on his passat, you might want to look into some of them, they are pretty pricey though, and I don't know what sizes they come in).

there is no way you can find performance tire that will perform very good in the snow.
performance tires are designed to work on dry/wet roads. they are not made for snow use.

cool thanks guys! thats funny i just got back from the tire shop and got the bridgestone G009's, they said they were pretty good tires for what i was wanting!

well i autocrossed and it turned out raining, and it was f'in cool as hell. i was tearing it up in the rain, those g009's are great, but word to future buyers, if you get the bridgestone g009's run them at the max recommended 44psi, because they don't handle well at 33psi.

you not supposed to run them at that high of pressure. you have very high chance of blowing them up from over inflating. the pressure on the tires is the max pressure you can put in the tire.
i would recomend for you to drop the pressure to 28-32 psi. for safe driving.
if you keep driving with that kind of pressure your tires will wear out a lot faster in the center. you are not getting 100% grip with your tires.

Many street tires require near the maximum pressure during autocross to keep the sidewall from rolling over during hard cornering. The tires are designed for the maximum pressure when cold to should be good to several psi above the listed max (to account to the increase in pressure as the tire heats during use). I wouldn't leave the tires at 44 psi for the ride home afterwards though.
