    name some lightweight rims

i did a search, but i couldn't really find a list of lightweight rims. so, if you know of some that are 16lbs or less (preferably 17", since that's what most people want), let's see em.

    SSR Competitions
    5Zigen FN01R-C (think i got that right)

i'm also doing this cuz i'm looking for some rims that meet that criteria..., so yah

About every rim wich is made in Japan is fairly lightweight. On a general note, you can check out models from the following companies:
    -Rays
    -Work
-SpeedStar (Site is down just now).

Other wheels you can look at are Rota, or if you are a millionare; Mugen.

Wheel Specs - Lots of info on different wheels can be found here.

i searched through all the links they posted. i think i also made a thread about this same thing you did like 2 months ago. i was looking for light weight, but still good looking 15's, 16's, and 17's. i'll try and find that. i know there were a bunch of stylish rims that didnt look like ass that i liked.

I think rota is coming out with a new rim called "Boost" which is a knockoff of the Advan RG's. Maybe someone is interested in that!

hey, is it me or are a lot of the German wheels somewhat heavy? my friends ATS rims are pretty heavy compared to his other ones which are Nippon racing. both 17's. ah, most Japanese rims are light weight anyway.

I'm suprised no one has said these yet.

Volk Wheels (come on guys that's an easy one)

And the Best Light Weight wheel is obviously a Carbon Fiber Wheel which you won't be able to afford

You are not hallusinating - most _are_ heavy. Except from the very few forged racing-wheels.

Well i'm going to wait on these too. Judging by rota's prices i say it will be around 700-800 for set of 4. I'm not sure if they will be as light...so we will have to wait and see.

The wheels that will eventually find their way onto my 3G will be some Konig Heliums (if I can find some... Not sure if they're still in production!) The 15" wheels weigh 10.5lbs and come in our lug pattern. Kinda small, but lightweight... And that extra rubber around em will prevent damage (lighter wheels are also more fragile).

I just recently found these 16 lbs 17" 3" deep polished lip Volution Deep Dish DRIFT wheel/tire combos starting at $499.

I couldn't find anything on the tires, but the rep said I "should get 30,000 miles out of them". Those models priced $599 (most of them) and up are also available on ebay at a slightly lower cost ($579 start $589 buy now). Not the $499 model, though.

Wow! Good find! I just got some 17" wheels (not for the 3G unfortunately...) that weigh 16.8lbs (BBS RK). Considering the fact that ONE of my new wheels with a performance tire would cost almost as much as all four there, that's a nice deal! I don't know the name, and they could very well be crap (lightweight and large means easily bent usually...) Still, for that much, it's worth looking into!

oh yea..there are SpeedMasters 046 rims on honda-tech there is a thread selling them for $500 in the wheels/suspension section. 15inch rims that weigh 11lbs each. I believe 88LXi68 has a set on his car. I'm thinking of getting these too..but wondering if I should shell the money for it.

yeah, aside from the carbon fiber joints....i think the Volk/Ray's Gram light 57s are supposed to be insanely lightweight....but judging by all the civics and such i see here apparently the thing to do is put 18' Lexani's and like 30 series' instead...it must be because i saw a delsol like that the other day...hmm....i know i dont know alot about the import scene..o well
