Talking New JunkYard Find....89 SE-I Discs.....

Well thanx to a fellow member here (Jay - AKA: HondaCrazy) for the actual find, I now have a COMPLETE 89 SE-i Rear Disc Swap Package off a Sedan.....1.5 Hours of work by me after work today......I picked up: Both Front Calipers, Both Front Knuckles, Portioning Valve, Entire Rear Trailling Arms with Cross Section & Rear Sway Bar (Including E-Brake Cables, etc). Now, I took the entire rear suspension (less Struts) as ONE PIECE too. Good news was the Price! It all cost ONLY $130.00 Can ($99.00 USD) For EVERYTHING!

    Here's the pics......

    Don't worry.....I will.
This project is slatted for the Spring now due to the chilly weather up here now. Over the Winter Months here, I plan to repaint everything, get new parts where needed, get a set of H&R Springs (1.5" Drop) & start finding a set of Tokicos too. This way I can install everything at once. I'll do step-by-step pics as well and post them on my Car Domain page.

Consider them found... looks like a pretty good price to me, maybe check around, but including shipping thats pretty good.

that's a crazy price to get them at man! way freaking cheap, i'm way jealous oh well, at least i got some rear discs, even if they cost a little more than yours... and f you're interested, i believe the discs from the 3rd gen lude fit, and for the rear they're the same as most civics. basically, what i did was picked the rotors i wanted, then did a google search by part number and got them that way at the cheapest price. if you want i can give you the part numbers for the powerslot rotors, since those are the ones i got.

Thanx, but I sell these brake parts too.....I just got to get off my arse & upload the pricing & such. I've been spending my nights right working on my cars (88 Accord & 90 Cavalier) to get them ready before Winter.

Nice find. Mine are still sitting in the boxes waiting for the money for rotors and pads plus I still need to get the front knuckles. I can't wait to get them on though.
No projects. Life consumes my time and money.

Price isnt too bad and you definitely got alot more parts than you needed but spare parts are always nice to have. Pulling it yourself is where you save big money. Having people pull the stuff for you usually doubles or triples the prices

I got the grocery list from here under the "How To" section for what I was supposed to get the upgrade my 88 LX. https://www.3geez.com/showthread.php?t=11356 I didn't get the M/Cyl as it was trashed. I grabbed the whole ass end as it was cheaper than just grabbing what I really needed. You see for some reason the wrecking yard charges less for the whole rear suspension than just getting the individual items.... Besides, the Rear Sway bar will be a nice added addition too.

It's not that bad for labour.....If you replace the entire ass end as one piece, then it's way less time. As for the fronts, I just plan to replace the entire knuckle after I get new ball joints pressed into them. The H&R Lowering Springs & Tokico Struts will get their install at the same time as I do the disc swap too. All I need to get still is the H&R Springs, Tokicos, 17X7 Konig Imagine Rims & Performance Tires (~Falken or Toyo).
